Yes. Styling is the very first step of our photography process, designed to take the pressure off of you. Every client receives a personal Styling Consultation, held either in-home or in-studio, where we help hand-pick outfits that are flattering, photograph beautifully, and work cohesively together. For professionals, this means aligning your wardrobe with your brand. For families and individuals, it means creating a polished, coordinated look without the stress of guessing what will work. For women who come to us in-studio for their boudoir session, it means hand-selected items from our Client Wardrobe for women of all sizes: XS-4X.

Yes. We offer professional hair and makeup styling for all women, so that you can look and feel your best. It’s the perfect way to start your session feeling confident and fully prepared.

You’ll work closely with Heather Mills, the lead photographer and owner of Heather Mills Photography, who guides every step of your session and ensures your vision is captured beautifully. Supporting Heather is Misty, our on-location assistant and image retoucher, who helps during sessions and ensures your images are finished exactly as you’d like.

We also collaborate with a talented team of hair and makeup artists — including Daralyn, Claudia, Anna, and others — who help you look and feel your best on session day.

Yes. Location selection is part of our guided experience and is chosen with intention. We recommend locations throughout Eugene (including our private studio), the Willamette Valley, and surrounding Pacific Northwest areas based on your personal style, goals, and the overall look you want to achieve. We also bring expert lighting techniques to every session, allowing us to create flattering, dimensional, and artful images in a wide variety of environments. This means you don’t have to worry about lighting conditions or choosing the “perfect” spot—we handle that for you.

Absolutely. Our sessions are fully guided from beginning to end. You never need to wonder how to stand, where to look, or what to do next. We coach, pose, and direct you throughout the entire session, helping you feel comfortable and confident while creating natural, expressive images. This guidance allows you to relax and enjoy the experience rather than feeling self-conscious or unsure—meaning together, we’ll create images you’ll love and want to share!

Session length varies depending on your goals and needs. We determine the timing during your Styling Consultation to ensure you have plenty of time for a relaxed and complete experience.

Our approach to retouching is thoughtful and intentional, designed to enhance rather than alter. We focus on getting everything right in-camera through expert styling, lighting, and posing, then apply a refined and experienced retouching approach for a polished final result. During your image selection, we’ll talk together about what level of retouching feels right for you, so your images still feel authentic while showing you at your very best.

Yes! You can include extended family and pets—we’ll work with you to include everyone who is important to you.

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for milestones like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, high school senior yearbook deadline, or family gatherings. Plus, booking in advance allows time for thoughtful planning, styling coordination, and preparation, ensuring your session feels unrushed and fully supported. And don’t forget to leave room for gifting!
